My Approach
I believe that humans are by nature, already whole, but at some point in life, experiences happen, and we lose resonance with that truth. I believe in the healing power of relationships, and as a therapist, I work to create a space that is safe, supportive, and open so that you can connect with the parts of yourself that need to be nurtured, heard, and healed. I value self-determination and autonomy and view my working relationship with you as collaborative. I encourage feedback and active participation throughout the process to ensure we continue to move in a meaningful direction that produces results. I have a non-judgmental, curious, compassionate, and often humor-filled approach. I am passionate about my clinical work and feel honored to be part of your journey.
I practice with a client-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. I utilize elements of several different evidenced-based treatment modalities to individualize your treatment specifically for you. This includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Weaving together different aspects of these approaches, it is my desire is to help you heal from past wounds, break out of repetitive self-defeating behaviors, bring clarity to what is meaningful to you, and give you the tools you need to better manage the difficult thoughts and feelings that will inevitably arise when life happens.
