What can I expect from my first session?

The first session will focus on completing a comprehensive clinical assessment. The information gathered will be used to create a customized treatment plan with clear goals for therapy. This plan is like a road map. It provides us with direction and will be reviewed frequently to evaluate progress. We will also focus on developing a working relationship during our first session together. I will discuss the documents you completed and signed prior to our first meeting to clarify expectations, answer any questions, and/or address any concerns you may have. I find this part to be a valuable step in building trust and demystifying the therapeutic process.
